The Low Carb Kitchen: Sausage and Pepper Cajun Alfredo

I intended to add some zoodles to this but I don't think I needed them. I love creole and csjun flavors and have been wanting to make this dish. You could play it up with other protein like chicken or shrimp. I used jarred alfredo but you could make your own if you'd like.

The ingredients:
2 TBSP butter
12 oz smoked sausage slicded
Sprinkle of creole or cajun seasoning x3
Sliced Bell peppers
Sliced sweet mini peppers
Can of diced chiles
1/2 jar alfredo sauce
1/4 C shredded cheese

The recipe:
In a skillet, add butter a sprinkle of creole seasoning a mix to combine then add sausage and cook until heated through and browned.
Set aside sausage preserving thr butter.
To the butter, add the peppers and diced chiles with a 2nd sprinkle of creole. Mix to coat and cook until to desired.
Add sausage back to the pan and mix. Add 1/2 jar of alfredo and the 3rd sprinkle of creole. Mix to combine well. Heat until alfredo bubbles.
Remove from the heat and top with the cheese. I used pepperjack.

Notes:
This is not super spicy but if you are worried about the spiciness use a pinch instead of a sprinkle of the creole or cajun seasoning.

I like to layer the flavor so I season at each stage. I did not add salt due to the sausage but feel free to add more salt if desired.

You can add pasta if you are not eating low carb.
